Kids are exposed to the standard forms of instruction without being subjected to lecturing – we place great value on initiative and independent learning. The holistic approach also applies to kids’ classes. In addition to the senses-bases perception, writing as well as training in developing individual learning techniques come into play. The standard instruction elements such as grammar, sentence structure, aural comprehension, reading competence, pronunciation as well as writing and style of the written text are blended within the framework of the communicative approach. Additionally, the kids enhance their skills with work with dictionaries, learning cards, charts and games and refine the techniques of self- and pier-review in a stress- and pressure-free manner.
Course materials may include worksheets, audio materials and music, song lyrics, linguistic games, learning charts, short videos, books and dictionaries as well as written games and role plays.
Learning Objective: the kids are exposed to immersion into the foreign language, their language competence becomes gradually more extensive and expansive, and they come to determine and engage the learning techniques and practices what work best for them. This way, our language instructors convey and foster the sense of responsibility and the value of independent learning.
