Bambini are taught to learn languages with all senses. By way of example, words are connected to a specific movement, and this connection of listening, seeing and sensing allows for a holistic way of adopting the learning material. The little ones sing, play, clap their hands and stamp their feet, paint and do handicrafts. These differentiated approaches to accessing the target language allow for a natural and dynamic time division within the lessons: the periods of concentration are followed by those of relaxation; the movement games are followed by quieter activities.
This holistic approach focuses not only on practicing and training the foreign language – it centers on educating the whole child. The language is made accessible through action, play, movement and perception. This allows for addressing the children’s wishes, feelings and their world of experiences and for incorporating these within the learning process.
Course Materials may include work- and play-sheets, puppets, musical instruments and CDs, picture books and cards, handicraft sets, materials for painting, memory cards as well as games for senses and movements.
Learning Objective: to enable the children to develop the feeling for the new language, its rhythm and flow, without pressure and in a playful manner, while fostering fine motor skills as well as retentiveness and concentration.
